Referrals No Longer Required for Ambetter Virtual Access - Effective Immediately!

Ambetter Virtual Access Referral Changes

Effective immediately, Ambetter Virtual Access no longer requires referrals for services. However, please note that all prior authorization requirements for services, including elective procedures and durable medical equipment, remain unchanged.

As we work on operationalizing this change, we will begin reprocessing claims back to January 1, 2023, that have denied for the referral requirement.
